This position is a member of a small, well-connected, and dynamic team responsible for providing core competency for MBSE, MBSE processes, and other MBSE tool suites using a structured process. The Systems Engineering/Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) engineer provides expert support in engineering data analysis in the development, review, and evaluation of data updates to MBSE products including Dassault Systems Cameo Enterprise Architecture (CEA), Teamwork Cloud (TwC), and Data Hub which are incorporated as needed to facilitate integration and interoperability with other tools. 

The MBSE engineer will leverage existing products and models to produce architectural products and documentation reflecting the system design and support a digital engineering approach to iterate through the system of systems.

 

The MBSE engineer will have demonstrated experience with multi-tasking across programs in a matrix organization; dynamically interacting with customers, equipment manufacturers and the Serco Team.  Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our Navy towards the future!  This is a virtual position.

 

In this role, you will:

  • Provide support that can identify, compare, analyze, and recommend data standards for a variety of future and existing digital products for the purpose of establishing contract requirements and enable the electronic passing of data from one data warehouse or application to another. It is desired to understand the application of data science, including data mining and analytics, that when applied provide for data driven decisions.
  • Inform future digital engineering policies that provide commonality of technical requirements like ontology, lexicon, data & modeling environments, analytic applications, and schema.
  • Develop and provide project architecture, model resident design specifications, and interface documents using CEA and/or Product Lifecycle Management products (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Epic Games Unreal Engine)
  • Develop MBSE-based SysML models, diagrams, and simulations
  • Translate systems engineering processes from traditional document-based system engineering efforts to delivery of model-based work products as required
  • Provide support in all system engineering activities and processes, including:
  • Perform interoperability and integration related engineering activities.
  • Provide technical assistance to Local and Program Configuration Control Boards (CCB).
  • Provide System Logistic Support analysis as needed.
  • Develop initial operational and system architectural views as it applies to selected ship/platform fleet integration.
  • Provide system engineering and technical support in the scope and development of interface, specification, and related technical statutory/regulatory documentation.
  • Assist in producing detailed test plans, procedures, and reports.

Qualifications

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Master's degree and 10 to 12 years relative work experience.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance (Post Employment)
  • Experience using Cameo Systems Modeler 
  • Experience in MBSE architectures.
  • Experience supporting senior leaders.
  • Ability to travel 10%
