This team focuses on product development and product strategy for Oracle Health, while building out a complete platform supporting modernized, automated healthcare. We are looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in all areas of software engineering: distributed systems, identity, security, observability, and user experience.

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking hands-on a Principal Software Engineer who shares our passion and excitement of operating distributed systems at hyper scale using cloud native best practices. You will have part in the disruption of the health care industry and will help deliver better patient care.
As a Software Engineer on our team, you’ll be responsible and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care platform, applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. As a tech lead you will optimally complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production.
Minimum Qualifications8+ years of experience shipping scalable, cloud native distributed systemsBS in Computer Science, or equivalent experienceAbility to work in a collaborative, multi-functional team environmentStrong grasp of Computer Science concepts (data structures, algorithms, and programming paradigms)Proficient in at Java/Python/C++ and shell scriptingExperience with container orchestration like Kubernetes/Docker Swarm/Mesos, experience working on Helm Charts, etc.Strong working experience on GitHub/Bitbucket, TeamCity/Hudson, Maven/GradleExperience in building highly available services, possessing knowledge of common service-oriented design patterns and service-to-service communication protocolsExperience with components of modern infrastructure like service discovery, secret storage, containerization, software-defined networking, etc.Experience with production operations and standard processes for putting quality code in production and solve issues when they ariseAble to effectively communicate technical ideas verbally and in writing (technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams and presentations)
Preferred QualificationsMS in Computer ScienceExperience in a fast-paced start-up environmentExperience building control plane/ data plane solutions for cloud native companiesExperience in diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving performance issues in sophisticated environmentsDeep understanding of Unix-like operating systems

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
