Job Description
AECOM is seeing a Deputy Construction Manager to be based in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Support the Construction Department Lead and collaborate with the local leadership team.
- Strong understanding of project finances, forecasts, project controls
- Preference for experience in aviation programs/projects.
- Manage projects on a local to regional basis achieving quality and safety outcomes, financial performance and client satisfaction.
- Develop strategy, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and execute projects.
- Serve as a liaison between client personnel and other stakeholders regarding project opportunities and project activities, including planning, scheduling and overall project status.
- Support the execution of strategies, major proposals, and interviews.
- Develop and capture growth strategies and increase market share for key accounts.
- Provide direction and oversight to AECOM staff and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with the construction contractor activity to develop an efficient and cost-effective plan to implement the work, within the scheduled timeline and budget.
- Promote an environment that promotes project safety protocols.
- Mentor, develop, and train junior staff.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- BA/BS + 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred requirements:
- Professional Engineering License
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
- At least 8+ years of experience working on construction projects in construction management, 4 years of which in a leadership role.
- OSHA 30-hour safety course certification preferred, or ability to obtain within six months.
- Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence and project success.
- Demonstrated experience of winning work.
Additional Information

- Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $160,000 per year.
