As a Sr Data Engineer within our Data and Analytics team, you will engage in building and optimizing our data infrastructure, combining strategic insight with technical expertise. You will contribute significantly to the architecture and execution of our advanced data platform, supporting its growth and ensuring it meets our data-centric objectives. With a strong foundation in data analytics and engineering, you will work collaboratively across teams, demonstrating a keen understanding of both the technical and business implications of our data solutions.

What you will be responsible for:

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow and storage within Snowflake.
• Facilitate automated data integration using Fivetran, promoting consistency and reliability across data sources.
• Execute data transformations with DBT, leveraging SQL and Python to enhance our data transformation capabilities.
• Participate in the design and refinement of data models and semantic layers in Looker, aiding in advanced data exploration and consistent analytics.
• Oversee Snowflake's performance, including capacity monitoring and access management, to ensure data security and efficiency.
• Engage in Python-based advanced data engineering tasks, contributing to the robustness and accessibility of our data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other team members to drive the data platform's evolution, advocating for data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Required Skills:

• Experience in data integration and ETL/ELT process development.
• Familiarity with automated data integration tools like Fivetran.
• Competency in managing and optimizing cloud-based data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
• Proficiency in data transformation using DBT and Python.
• Understanding of data modeling and visualization in Looker.
• Effective team collaboration and communication skills.

  Preferred Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS.
  • Background in agile development environments.
