The Opportunity
This role sits within the Indirect Procurement Delivery group, which covers the core procurement activities from category management, strategic and operational sourcing, supplier management, contracting, content strategy definition, and execution. The Indirect Procurement Delivery group comprises many communities grouping categories of the same value chain or having commonality, including Research & Development, Commercial and Corporate Services, Digital & Technology, and Facilities. The communities are key enablers of strong category expertise while allowing flexibility in the procurement delivery response to the evolving needs of our customers.
As the Sr. Supplier Relationship Manager Facilities, you will work in a dynamic global environment where you will meet the challenge to bring innovation, alliance management, and strategic thinking to meet business problems and market opportunities. You are accountable for developing and managing the relationship, and driving improvement and innovation initiatives with one or a few of Roche’s most strategic and most critical suppliers on a global basis. Using your in-depth knowledge and expertise in supplier management, innovation, and procurement strategies, you deliver outstanding management of supplier relationships, achieving long-term value and collaboration with Roche suppliers to support customer needs and solve business problems.
In addition, you will work actively with the Supplier Relationship Management Capability Lead to embed the Supplier Relationship Management Capability across both Procurement Delivery Chapters and proactively drive a collaborative partnership with various stakeholders, including Vendor Management Organisations and other supplier facing groups, to ensure tools, templates, playbooks, and positions are in line with company needs as well as suggest enhancements and updates based upon opportunities and risk identified during supplier and stakeholder discussions.
You will collaborate with internal procurement (such as Procurement Managers, Customer Excellence, Insights, Analytics, Contracting, etc.), business stakeholders, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders to build and implement comprehensive supplier strategies that are aligned to business needs and functional objectives.
You will work closely with other team members, as a peer coach, project or workstream lead to deliver on Supplier Relationship Management activities for our most strategic and critical suppliers, embed best practices such as enhancement and development of services, tools, templates, playbooks, processes, and provide capacity, expertise, and oversight to other supplier oriented projects/solutions.
As a Sr. Supplier Relationship Manager, you will play a variety of roles according to your experience, knowledge, and general business requirements, including but not limited to:
Acting as a domain knowledge and subject matter expert, providing input, advice, and know-how on alliance management, business and strategic planning, and facilitation of innovation with our strategic partners.
Developing and leading the identification, refinement, and delivery of supplier strategies, including identification and execution of supplier initiatives, establishment of effective governance around the partnership, and execution of relevant supplier management activities.
