About the role

POSITION SUMMARYOsteal is looking for an experienced Supply Chain and Operations Lead to support our operations team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Supply Chain & Operations, the candidate will be an important member of the Osteal team, providing strategic and operational execution in the development, implementation, and oversight of Osteal's operations function including supply chain management, supplier relations, inventory management, sourcing and purchasing. The Supply Chain and Operations Lead is responsible for managing the procurement and planning of materials and components required in a combination medical technology and pharmaceutical environment.  This role ensures that materials are available to meet delivery and customer schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels at vendor and 3PL locations. Collaborates with suppliers, CDMOs, suppliers and other internal departments to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSEssential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. Procurement: Source and purchase materials, components, and services from approved suppliers. Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms to achieve cost savings and ensure quality. 
Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity. Adjust plans as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or supply chain disruptions.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess stock and stockouts. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
Data Analysis: Analyze procurement and inventory data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and cost-saving initiatives. Prepare reports and present findings to management.
Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards. Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Collaboration: Work closely with production, R&D, NPI, manufacturing engineering, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONSExperience and EducationMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain management, preferably in the medical technology, healthcare industry or regulated industry.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite), Microsoft Office Suite, and Smartsheet. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on trends and forecasts.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.APICS, CPIM, or CSCP certification is a plus.Familiarity with ISO Standards, GMP, cGMP Working Conditions:Office environment with occasional visits to production facilities and supplier sites.Some travel may be required.
