This role demands strong experience with Windows servers, co-located data centers, and Azure Cloud platforms. You will develop and deploy servers, support daily operations, and protect data and system integrity. The position provides back-end IT support for key business and development teams. You will lead infrastructure modernization, drive cloud adoption, automate processes, and manage core systems, working with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and scalable infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing
Manage Microsoft, Linux, VMware, and Azure resources
Install and configure Windows servers
Support users and ensure reliable server performance
Oversee virtualization (VMware Server/ESX)
Maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructure
Apply expertise in Application Insights, Azure services, Databricks and DevOps
Provide technical support and resolve server-related issues
Debug and maintain Windows programs for end users
Review backups, error logs, and resolve system errors
Monitor and optimize performance, set proactive alerts
Maintain system security and address vulnerabilities
Ensure compliance with IT standards and policies
Participate in troubleshooting, on-call, and after-hours support

Who You Are
You demonstrate 8 years of experience in Windows administration and at least 2 years working with Azure. You are known for your flexibility, reliability, and collaborative approach.
Skilled in Windows/Linux administration and virtualization (VMware)
Azure certification preferred; experience with Azure, Windows Server, and DevOps
Familiar with monitoring tools and backup/disaster recovery- Rubrik, Azure backup vault
Automation: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell/Bash scripting.
Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and documentation skills

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $115,000- $135,000 based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
