Job Purpose

The CS2 Team Manager drives everything operational surrounding NIP’s CS2 Main team on a day-to-day basis. This position will together with the team’s additional support staff make sure our world-class players can perform on the highest level by leading and supporting them as they travel across the globe. The team manager is responsible for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders that need to work with the team. This includes working together with other departments within the company to successfully drive projects surrounding the team - for our own needs, and our partners’ needs. The CS2 Team Manager will stay on top of developments within the evolving CS2 landscape to manage a complex 2025 schedule effectively as well as keep innovating and improving the day-to-day lives of our CS2 team to ensure they can spend as much time as possible of their workday to reach high performance. This position reports to the Head of Team Operations.

What You'll Do 

Day-to-Day Operations

• Lead the day-to-day operations and logistics of the CS2 team, including player management, partner activations, coordination of tournaments, merchandise, bootcamp planning, budgets, media, and travel arrangements.

• Monitor team rankings and tournament invites while staying informed about emerging tournaments and industry developments.

• Manage player expectations while facilitating a collaborative and streamlined workflow, and that requests to and from NIP are handled effectively towards NIP.

• Report to and work closely with the Head of Team Operations, being part of the larger esports department. Ensure that all operations align with NIP's philosophies and values.

• Report to and work closely with the Head Coach of CS and the Director of Performance on observations related to player well-being and lifestyle. Act as the eyes and ears in the team to ensure that we always support them in the best way possible.

• Be responsible for NIP's activities surrounding sponsors, merchandise, and other promotional activities that involve players.

• Travel with the team, which will require 50 - 75% of working time

Player Wellbeing

• Assisting the Director of Performance in tracking and supporting players with their individual development plans. This may include aspects such as habits, nutrition, exercise, and sleep, among others. For those curious about top-level performance, this will be an exciting aspect.

• Act as a strong culture ambassador for NIP values and promote engagement by educating the CS2 team on these values.

• Assist players in overcoming challenges and removing obstacles, both reactively and proactively.

• Consistently elevate the level of our player experience, rooted in our ambition to be the best CS2 team in the world from a player experience perspective every day.

Administrative

• Create and follow budgets for bootcamps and other team activities.

• Work proactively to scout upcoming tournament destinations for your players and provide briefings.

• Keep track of the team's inventory, such as merchandise and peripherals.

• Attend meetings and reply to emails directed to the CS2 team.

• Be responsible for tracking deadlines for the team, such as roster lock, tournament invites and ticket requests.
