As a Senior Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:
• Assists in developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies, procedures, and programs to ensure alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintains thorough documentation of compliance activities, including reviews of marketing materials, identified concerns, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the Assistant General Counsel & Compliance Officer on the implementation of new or revised regulatory requirements and support the development of compliant products, services, and materials.
• Conducting second line of defense reviews, as needed, to monitor adherence and mitigate risk.
Salary Range:
This is an exempt position. The starting salary range is $126,196- $157,745; however, actual placement within the range will be determined individually based on your experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Education/Experience:
• A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, legal studies, or a related field is required for all levels. Applicable work experience and/or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for one year of education.
• Requires eight years of related experience compliance programs (e.g., Fair Lending, UDAAP, BSA/AML), and preparing for and responding to regulatory exams, and a strong track record conducting risk assessments and policy development.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Incumbent Bonding REQUIRED by TFCU’s chosen authority.
• Valid driver’s license, maintaining an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (all levels).
• Certified Credit Union Compliance Officer (CUCO) or related compliance certification preferred for Levels I and 2 but required within 12 months of progression or hire for the Sr Level.

In order to be successful as a Senior Compliance Specialist you must possess these qualifications:
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of consumer compliance policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Possesses comprehensive understanding of consumer protection laws, regulations, and their practical application within a financial institution.
• Maintains strong proficiency in utilizing information management systems and tools to support compliance operations and data distribution.
• Applies exceptional organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects and assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
• Exhibits strong analytical and research capabilities with the ability to independently evaluate information, identify risks, and develop solutions.
• Proficient in operating and performing basic maintenance on standard office equipment and technology necessary to support daily functions.
