Come join our North American team! ROSEN Columbus seeks to employ a Software Engineer to join our Creation North American team based in Columbus, Ohio. This position is hybrid remote, with expectation to live near or travel often to Columbus, Ohio.
Rosen’s North America team develops prototype state-of-the-art tools & software solutions for non-destructive testing of critical infrastructure, manufactured components, and in-field assets. We increase safety of previously non-inspectable assets by creating new inspection techniques and equipment. We strive to create a supportive and rewarding environment so everyone can excel. Rosen’s research and technology site in Columbus primarily functions as an industrial machine learning and data analysis group. Pipeline inspections generate a lot of sensor data (e.g. from ultrasonic sensors) which have to be analyzed using state of the art computer vision techniques. Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of software solutions.
- Integration of the software solution into the source code repository (Azure DevOps / GIT).
- Commitment to the quality standards of your solutions.
- Contribute in the software solutions documentation.
- Promote and contribute in the realization of software architecture goals.
- To be actively committed with the team dynamic reporting ongoing, finished, blocker issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Maintenance of the software solutions.
- Participating in design and code review.
- Communicating with internal customers about software releases.
- Writing documentation for released code.
- Providing technical support for internal customers.
- Assisting with project initiation by gathering requirements, defining software architecture, estimating effort and defining chunks of work.
- Traveling to Europe a few times per year for work.
REQUIREMENTS
- BS in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ Years of relevant software development experience based on Web technologies.
- Engineer or related bachelor’s degree.
Qualification or Skills:
- BS in Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 2+ Years of relevant software development experience based on Web technologies.
- Engineer or related bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in software design techniques, including object-oriented analysis, functional programming and design techniques.
- Understanding of common architecture patterns ( SOLID principles, DDD, design patterns, MVC, MEAN stack).
- Proficiency in C# Component Based Development and .NET Frameworks.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and Angular.
- Knowledge in Python.
- Knowledge in Docker, Git. Kubernetes
- API Rest design principles.
- Background in ASP.NET and/or ASP.NET Core.
- Demonstrable fluency in HTML5, CCS3 and java Script 6.0.
- Knowledge in design, development and optimization of relational databases (SQL Server).
- Knowledge in no relational databases (Mongo DB).
- Abilities for profiling, debugging and code comprehension in complex applications.
- Experience with software testing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Motivation
- Willingness to travel on a few short business trips per year
