Job Summary:

As part of our internal creative agency, the Senior Art Director will be the visual and conceptual force behind the brands in the Vail Enterprise. This person should have a mastery of visually designing brands to communicate ideas that connect with guest in such a way they want to drop everything and visit one (or more) of our the resorts around the world. This role requires a person that can think strategically and is able to make creative leaps from brief to executions. They are viewed as a creative expert and leader in their discipline and can present work to stakeholders in a persuasive and effective manner. This role reports into the Creative Director of Creative Services. 

 

Job Specifications:

  • Starting Wage: $ 88,868.83 - $100,000 + annual bonus
  • Employment Type: Year Round

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be the lead Art Director/Designer for all resort brands. Your creative abilities will bring these resorts to life across all marketing touchpoints in a way that they deeply resonate with guests. 
  • Use your craft to develop strong visual solutions that accurately represent the brands and lines of business across the enterprise. 
  • Lead conceptual projects from start to finish, including partnership with internal and external creatives, working closely with creative directors and account teams.  
  • Collaborate with a diverse mix of creatives, freelancers, producers, stakeholders to craft best-in-class marketing across a wide range of verticals, disciplines and markets. 
  • Work from briefs to come up with ideas that are on-strategy and best-in-class creative solutions with outstanding art direction and design being a central focus. 
  • Be responsible for the craft, execution, and elevating the quality of a range of art direction projects.  
  • Present the work with a strong strategic lens and creative expertise inclusive of understanding copy and strategic choices to stakeholders at all levels.  
  • Develop brand visuals guidelines and then ensure executions align to look and feel in a manner that propels the brands forward. 
  • Provide guidance to freelance art directors/designer to ensure brands stay consistent and follow visual guidelines. 
  • Help grow and develop the team's creative culture. 
  • And, of course, you’ll probably head to the mountains from time to time. 
  • Incredible art direction and design skills and storytelling abilities, specifically able to craft attention-grabbing visuals for digital and email placements 
  • Concepting and executing campaigns while meeting set deadlines 
  • Grow creative talent and develop a strong, positive team culture that inspires the company  
  • Lead and champion creative vision in partnership with internal clients  
  • Translate business objectives outline in briefs into clear creative strategies 
  • Keep a pulse on new and emerging trends that impact the culture of our category and beyond 
  • Taking constructive feedback and building upon it for a better outcome 
  • Manage multiple projects at once, ensuring they stay on timelines and meet deadlines
