About the role

Staff Pharmacist 
Fitzgibbon Hospital

Marshall, Missouri

As a full time, exempt Staff Pharmacist with CPS Solutions, LLC at Fitzgibbon Hospital, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.   

Schedule:  This position will work 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday day shifts and every other weekend, day shifts (Sundays are remote) and includes taking on call every third week when the pharmacy is closed.

About the Facility:  Fitzgibbon Hospital is an acute care, nonprofit 60-bed community hospital. that has been a leader in providing compassionate, personal care to central Missouri residents for 100 years!  Services include a Cancer Center, Ambulatory Care, Medical and Surgical Services, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Care, Rheumatology, Emergency Department, Intensive Care, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Women's Center, 9 Specialists’ clinics and other services . CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy:  The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 6:30am-5:00pm and Saturday & Sunday from 7:00am-3:30pm.  Pharmacy systems include Cerner and Cerner Rx Station.  

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Missouri Pharmacist licensure in good standing
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in an acute care setting or equivalent (recommended)
  • Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and pharmacy order entry systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements (may be required): 

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
