The Control Remediation Quality Assurance Review & Challenge Coordination Lead establishes and maintains a strong support team with appropriate skill sets and subject matter expertise to assist each MRA owner through the end to end MRA lifecycle. This role is an integral part of the Review & Challenge tollgate panels at both the workstream and full MRA concern level, ensuring effective remediation, leading to successful Internal Audit validation. This role engages with stakeholders to provide ongoing support as well as receive feedback on R&C coordinator team efforts.
Depth & Scope:
- Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as required
- Leads the buildout and execution of the Review and Challenge team in coordination with the Head of CRQA Review, Challenge, Methodology & Testing
- Leads a team of domain experts to partner with the 1st and 2nd line to design, and implement the remediation actions that address the MRA concerns
- Works closely with MRA owners to provide end to end support for remediation; including feedback on control remediation opportunities (such as control automation)
- Liaises with 1st, 2nd line and 3rd line to get alignment on remediation actions
- Participates in the Review and Challenge tollgate panels
- Engages with key stakeholders to provide ongoing support and feedback of team efforts
- Leads a team of domain experts to partner with the 1st and 2nd line to design, and implement the remediation actions that address the MRA concerns
- May participate in the Review and Challenge tollgate panels with discretion from Head CRQA Review, Challenge, Methodology & Testing
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree required; Graduate degree is preferable
- 10+ years related experience required; preferably with significant third line experience
- Strong executive management experience leading Regulatory Administration activities, and teams
- Experience establishing and implementing effective Regulatory policies, strategies and plans that effectively support the financial environment
- Highly organized, with demonstrated ability to develop, analyze, improve and apply complex policies, processes and procedures
- Solid understanding of Regulatory environment and its role in the business
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills
- Advanced communication and presentation skills
- Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel
- Proven leadership abilities
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and Customers
- Excellent Customer orientation, interpersonal and organizational skills
