Summary:

The Associate Director Access Strategy is responsible for the design and implementation of market access tactics that deliver on the KarXT access Strategy as defined by the Director, US MAx Access Strategy for KarXT.   S/he partners closely with KarXT brand & indication leads to design and implement strategy and monitor metrics with matrix partners (Brand Marketing, Trade/Dispensing, Field Sales, Market Access Strategic Accounts (MASA), HEOR and Reimbursement teams, Business Insights & Analytics). This individual will lead development and execution of plans and resources and will play an integral role for KarXT Access Strategy team, leading matrix collaboration and managing agency partners to successfully execute access strategy and tactics. This role is aligned to KarXT as a core brand team member, however, reports to US MAx directly as part of the Neuropsych Access Strategy organization
 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and foster collaboration with cross-matrix partners (marketing, HEOR, sales, analytics, access/reimbursement, medical affairs, etc.) to execute a comprehensive, best-in-class launch plan for KarXT in schizophrenia

  • Accountable for the development of brand specific payer resources, including applications that advance the product value proposition (PVP) and preapproval information exchange (PIE), in support of US KarXT launch

  • Identifying critical design elements of planned tactics to accelerate desired behavioral changes

  • Coordination of operational planning for payer marketing plan and launch meeting in accordance with overall US KarXT strategy

  • Innovative design of tactics informed by Market Research, BI&A and customer facing Value, Access and Pricing (MAx) and brand teams

  • Development of tactics accomplished in partnership with MAx & brand teams, PReP team and external partners

  • Ownership of tactics accomplished in partnership with PReP team per the PReP process

  • Roll-out of tactics in partnership with field based teams (eg. Sales, ARMs, AEs) directly or via POA/launch meetings

  • Manage agency and other vendors in development of promotional materials and tactics

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the annual brand planning and functional planning processes

  • Coordinate efforts with Sales and Brand Team, AEs, BI&A, and Pricing & Contracting to develop pull through targeting, messages and tools to support brand launch/growth

  • Review all payer-related field communications including serving as brand primary point person for Account Executives and Sales

  • Manage Op Ex budget to ensure effective execution of tactics are aligned with brand plan

  • Collaborate with training team(s) to develop training and supports MAx team on training, BMS tools and resources, market intel, policy landscape, etc., to ensure team is equipped to engage key customers on access topics.


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent. MBA and/or PharmD preferred

  • 4 to 7 years of relevant marketing / brand management experience, customer-facing role in Market Access or relevant market access functional experience (eg. Pricing & Contracting, Reimbursement, Policy)

  • Experience working in schizophrenia or other serious mental illness categories a plus

  • Working knowledge of US government payor space required

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively and efficiently drive performance within a matrix organization, and form strong, productive partnerships

  • Demonstrated ability to work across boundaries and partner with various stakeholders to build consensus and achieve results
