APCOAbout the role
APCO’s Paris office is hiring a Senior Associate Director/Director to join our fast-growing health team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become a key figurehead of one of the leading advisory firms in the health space – driving new business, offering high-value strategic advice to clients and working with a world class team.
Thanks to our unique positioning combining advisory, integrated approach and deep health expertise, our French health team is growing exponentially and now represents APCO’s largest practice in France. The ideal candidate would need to have a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in consultancy, whilst we are also open to candidates who have worked both in-house and consultancy. As a leading advisory firm, we are looking for a brilliant strategist with excellent analytical skills, vision, a knack for going off the beaten tracks and exceptional skills in crafting integrated strategies across government affairs, advocacy, communication and crisis. You will demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and ability to grow your portfolio through your network and your ability to craft winning proposals. You will have experience managing complex work streams and leading, nurturing and inspiring junior colleagues. You will be fluent in English and, ideally, have experience collaborating on multi-market assignments.
2025 promises to be a hugely exciting year in the ever changing global healthcare space. By joining our team, you will be working with passionate, collaborative and diverse experts in France and beyond to support the health leaders of today and tomorrow in navigating this environment.

- Manage accounts efficiently and grow client relationships by overseeing client projects, leading teams and ensuring excellent quality of deliverables.
- Strongly contribute to growth by generating new business opportunities through personal connections and marketing activities and successfully answering to RFPs.
- Nurture and inspire talents as the line manager of junior consultants and contribute to the motivating, friendly and inclusive environment we have created.
- Collaborate with colleagues from the Europe health practice and the Global health practice on both client work and new business opportunities.
- Proactively stay abreast of key health developments to nurture your own thought-leadership and flag opportunities for further client engagement.
Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of experience managing assignments across the spectrum of government affairs, advocacy, communication and crisis in the health space.
- Excellent skills in building and implementing integrated and impactful strategies together with strong ability to think beyond beaten paths
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to grow your portfolio through your network and your ability to craft winning proposals.
- Excellent presentation, writing and analytical skills, and the ability to write both strategically and creatively under tight deadlines.
- Strong project management experience, including overseeing a team and multiple deliverables, providing clear and concise feedback to maintain high standards.
- Fluent in English
- Collaborative and open mindset
