Job Summary

We are creating a pool of student applicants to serve as sales lab monitors beginning the Fall 2026 semester. Application review will begin on June 1, 2026. We have regular positions (up to 5 hours per week) as well as backup positions available. The back-up positions fill in when the scheduled sales monitor is absent due to illness or when there is a scheduling conflict because of a job interview. Back-up sales monitors typically move to a regular shift when there is an opening or in an upcoming semester.

The Sales Lab Monitor will perform the following job duties:
- Schedule student appointments for recordings, operate recording equipment/software in SFHB 152 and in the Focus Group Room (FGR), SFHB 336.
- Support executive director and sales faculty with various diverse projects and research opportunities as they arise.
- Maintain the security of lab equipment and systems, the physical orderliness of the lab, along with preserving the professional decorum of student activities in the facility.
- Be dependable to cover assigned shifts, or when necessary, arrange coverage with a back-up sales monitor.

Pay Rate

$15.00/hour

Required Qualifications

-Must be a current ISU College of Business student.
- Must be a Marketing Major

Preferred Qualifications

- Professional Sales Sequence students preferred
- Juniors/Seniors preferred but NOT required

Work Hours

Various Shifts Available Monday - Thursday. Times to be determined after class schedules are determined.

Applicants must be able to: 1) work the entire shift, 2) arrive approximately 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the shift, and 3) occasionally asked to stay late to complete recordings.

Schedule is dependent based on Student's Class Schedule.

Special Instructions for Applicants

A short training on how to use the equipment will be required unless you have previously worked in the sales lab. You will also need to complete HR training that is mandatory for all University employees. This is paid time.
