Job Description

Brightspeed has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager - Integration to join our rapidly growing team! As an individual contributor you will be responsible for technical and non-technical project management and JIRA support. You will work closely with IT and Business Operations teams to ensure alignment of processes and visions.  The principal purpose of this role is to ensure consistent project management, on time project release and effective communication for all projects assigned.  This position will report to the Manager Operational Support - Integration

As the Project Manager - Integration your responsibilities will include:

• Support the Platform & Innovation team by managing assigned targeted efforts to completion
• Drive project execution ensuring high quality and end product meets the measures of success
• Develop project plans to document project scope, schedule, tasks, and risk management
• Ensure progress of assigned complex projects/processes within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
• Creation and tracking of projects; escalate and track project issues; document progress and prepare status reports (metrics, summaries, etc.) to be communicated in both formal and informal settings
• Assist in domain JIRA management including Product Owner partnership, user story oversight and management, PI planning prioritization, completion tracking  
• Demonstrated exceptional presentation, interpersonal, relationship development, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to present at the senior most level in the business
• Help manage day to day operations of the Operations Platform Support & Innovation team including domain program roadmap, executive leadership deck preparation, communication cadences, team meetings, people & culture initiatives, project / program gap coverage, etc.

 

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or related field
• 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross team projects
• 7+ years of strong technical experience, preferably in telecommunications or software development
• Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities
• Must be able to read, understand and apply technical standards
• Ability to translate technical terms into plain language
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Experience creating C Suite level presentation materials
• Quick learner with excellent written & verbal communication and analytical problem-solving skills
• Solid organizational skills with attention to detail, context switching, and ability to cope with tight deadlines
• JIRA Knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Proficient in project planning and life cycle development tools

BONUS POINTS FOR:

• Deep familiarity with fiber technology
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PM or Project Management Degree
• Basic knowledge of SmartSheets
