Senior Principal - SAP

 

Bristlecone Inc. seeks Senior Principal in San Jose, CA.

Duties: 

Customer Engagement and Project Management (60%):

• -Act as the primary liaison for client interactions, representing Bristlecone across engagements involving IBP and SAP APO for Supply Chain Planning and Optimization.
• Manage a team of 55+ Bristlecone resources, ensuring seamless coordination and collaboration.
• Coordinate with the Customer Interaction, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Invoicing & Supplier Management Solution Track Lead to achieve project goals effectively.
• Lead project management efforts for Bristlecone’s client engagements, overseeing the implementation of IBP and SAP APO solutions.
• Conduct requirement gathering workshops with clients to assess current challenges and future needs.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to client system architectures.
• Design functional and technical solutions to bridge identified process gaps and transition to optimized "To-be" processes.
• Collaborate with clients and technical teams to build and implement tailored business scenarios.
• Conduct periodic meetings with different teams to discuss progress on respective deliverables.
• Play the role of Project Manager for Bristlecone’s client engagements

 

Oversight of Building, Testing, Training and Deploying (20%):

• Oversee design, build & testing activities across the project lifecycle, ensuring thorough testing of IBP Demand planning, Supply planning and SNOP solutions.
• Manage technical scope, deliverables, and integration planning in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct Unit Testing to ensure system functionality aligns with solution design.
• Facilitate System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with client teams to validate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
• Provide Functional & Technical support during various phases (Explore, Realize, Build, Deploy) of the project.
• Manage schedule adherence for projects to achieve set milestones.

 

Pre-sales Activities (20%):

• Engage with prospective and existing clients to identify new business opportunities in IBP and SAP APO for supply chain planning and optimization.
• Develop reusable collaterals such as Proposal Templates, Solution Frameworks, and Issue logs.
• Customize system demos and proofs of concept (POCs) to showcase product capabilities to clients.
• Develop Bristlecone intellectual properties (IPs) incorporating the latest features in IBP and SAP APO.
• Prepare project proposals including Solution Designs, Effort Estimates, and Resource Planning.

 

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Science, or related field plus 12 years of experience. Also requires 3 years of experience in the following: SAP Material Management (MM); Master Data - SAP ECC, & S/4 HANA; SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle & Performance Management; SAP Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC); and SAP Ariba Digital Supplier Network (Commerce Automation). Telecommuting permitted. Requires 10% domestic travel.
