Required Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree required in multicultural education, higher education administration, intercultural communication, student affairs administration or related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in designing, coordinating, and evaluating educational, social, or cultural activities and/or leadership programs.
• 1-3 years of relevant professional experience working in an environment with competing priorities that require the coordination and management of students, resources, and timelines
• Ability to assess student needs, value a high degree of student contact, and interact interpersonally and effectively with diverse individuals.
• Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries as an effective member of a team, and a demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a wide range of campus and community constituencies.

• Ability to assess student needs, value a high degree of student contact, and interact interpersonally and effectively with diverse individuals.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently perform duties and responsibilities with attention to detail and support for organizational policies, as well as the ability to anticipate demands/pressures of assignments and adjust accordingly
• Professional maturity that will foster a professional mentoring and advising relationship with students
• Ability to take initiative, work independently, and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with computers and basic software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of college students
