Sensors: Space and Air division in McKinney, TX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to be an active participant on the software development team supporting numerous programs as part of the MTS product line.

What you will do:

• Perform requirements analysis / definition to ensure the system will meet all customer requirements.
• Participate in software design and development, as well as supporting system integration and test, all using the established Raytheon engineering processes and practices.
• Support design, development, testing and integration of embedded mission software.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplined team where there are experienced engineers to provide mentoring and support.
• Use agile software development techniques for a high quality, supportable software system.
• Maintain Secret Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
• Work onsite at McKinney, TX.
• Travel and support off-site facilities as needed.

Qualifications you must have:

• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in software design, development, integration and testing utilizing C / C++ or similar.
• Must be able to acquire U.S. government issued Secret security clearance after start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred).

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with real-time embedded systems, FPGAs, and video-processing.
• Experience developing software in Ada.
• Experience with embedded system concepts such as multitasking real-time OS and server/client messaging.
• Possess skills to handle fast pace and dynamic product development environment including engagement with systems and electrical engineers.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
