Role Overview:

We innovate and advance the space of Knowledge Graphs, LLMs, AI, ML, NLP, and multi-modal models. We are looking for engineers who want to work on cutting edge technology, that is the intersection of Semantic knowledge bases, NLP, LLM, ML and software engineering. What You Will Do:

· Architect and design the Knowledge Systems suitable for self-supervised learning.

· Design and deliver/train a language model that understands information organization for the knowledge graph that is semantic aware.

· Develop custom algorithms and techniques to enhance data integration, entity resolution and knowledge inference in a graph.

· Define process and experiments for an E2E foundation model.

· Tune Reinforcement Learning models for Knowledge Graph interaction and retrieval.

· Build E2E AI pipelines for knowledge/sematic information capturing/storing/servicing from large data sets.

· Mentor and guide team members on frameworks, methodologies related to knowledge graph, semantic web, large scale graph databases, reinforcement learning, ontology, and other foundational models.

· Collaborate with cross-team members to understand the requirements ensuring the foundational models, knowledge captured aligns with the company’s overall AI strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

· Overall 10+ years of working in software engineering and AI/ML Engineering.

· 5+ years of demonstrated experience in building large scale knowledge graph at scale.

· Deep background in applied LLMs like Claude, Knowledge Graph and Graph Neural Networks

· Experience with ontology, and sematic web technologies [ RDF/OWL/SPARQL/ontologies]

· Understand RAG and its limitations for multi-modal knowledge retrieval.

· Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Spark, BigQuery

· Experience with inference platforms in AWS, Azure and other open-source platforms.

EDUCATION: B.S, M.S or PhD in Computer science, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

· Are result-oriented, with a bias towards customer obsession, flexibility, and impact

· Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills

· Passion for Large language models, NLP, and Machine Learning at scale

Pay & Benefits 

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation. 

The base pay for this position ranges from $159,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $324,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
