The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing high-performance, scalable Java applications. You will be leading the design, implementation and maintenance of complex software systems while overseeing a team of engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.<br/><br/>Here's what your journey with us would look like:<br/><br/></p><h3>What you will do:</h3><ul> </ul><ul> <li>Design and estimate features to be delivered by the team</li> <li>Develop and maintain the server-side logic of our applications using Java</li> <li>Implement efficient and performant backend code for high-volume production applications</li> <li>Monitor application health and reliability in production environment</li> <li>Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment</li> <li>Review and refactor code, establishing best practices for code hygiene and organization</li> <li>Lead a team of developers while providing mentorship to less-experienced developers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement</li> <li>Identify and manage risks in regards to project deadlines and technical solutions</li> </ul><h3>Experience and skills you need to join us:</h3><ul> </ul><ul> <li><strong></strong><strong>7+ years of backend development experience in Java</strong> (Spring ecosystem)</li> <li>Strong <strong>RESTful</strong> and <strong>GraphQL API</strong> design and implementation skills. Experience with federated GraphQL considered a strong advantage</li> <li>Expertise in performance <strong>troubleshooting, profiling, and debugging tools</strong></li> <li>Extensive experience with <strong>message brokers</strong> (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ) and <strong>caching</strong> (e.g., Redis, Memcached)</li> <li>Experience with <strong>authentication</strong> and <strong>authorization mechanisms</strong>, especially OAuth 2.0</li> <li>Skilled in <strong>Docker,</strong> <strong>Kubernetes</strong>, <strong>distributed systems</strong> challenges and <strong>resilience patterns</strong> (e.g., circuit breakers)</li> <li>Strong understanding of <strong>patterns</strong> of <strong>distributed systems</strong> design</li> <li>Proficient with <strong>code versioning tools</strong>, such as Git</li> <li>Skilled in <strong>CI/CD tools</strong> and practices</li> <li><strong>2+ years of experience in team leader roles</strong></li> <li><strong>English: B2+</strong></li> <li>Strong understanding of Agile process, roles within the process and key ceremonies</li> </ul><h3>It would be great if you also have:</h3><ul> </ul><ul> <li><strong></strong>Experience with API contract testing</li> <li>NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)</li> <li>Prompt engineering and experience with integration of GenAI LLMs into productions (ideally) or pet projects at least (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Bard, Llama)</li> <li>Familiarity with federated Graph architectures</li> </ul><h3 dir="ltr"><strong>How we work:</strong></h3><p><strong></strong>At Tooploox, you have the flexibility to choose your working hours and location.
