The Associate Event Specialist will be responsible for supporting our Tradeshow Managers with various administrative tasks. The main responsibility will be supporting the team to plan and execute large and small tradeshows. This position requires good interpersonal skills, as well as exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Support the event team with the execution of admin tasks in connection with small events and tradeshows across AMR. This includes but is not limited to room block management, conference badge registration management, and liaising with our internal travel team.
Manage customer meetings at larger tradeshows.
Build meeting requests website using meeting scheduling software
Respond to internal email questions related to customer meetings
Assist with review and approval process of meetings as needed
Cvent usage – create registration sites.
Manage product shipment to/from events including Coordinate with exhibit house, internal engineers on product shipment, set-up, and scheduling of resources
Coordination of misc orders including supplies, promotional items, and booth staff attire.
Transfer of value reporting for Illumina hosted customer events.
Management of speaker contracts, payments, vendor set-up, and travel
Manage our internal content microsite used at tradeshows including compiling content from internal resources and updating in the web application.
Act as an ambassador for Illumina – internally & externally, exhibiting a positive attitude and living our values
