Summary:
A global role that provides strategic direction to all training initiatives within Global Operations, Global Quality, Regulatory Affairs and R&D at both site and corporate level for production, technical and professional groups compatible with Hollister’s Mission, Vision, and People Strategy and compliant with applicable regulations and quality standards. Responsible for training needs analysis at a global level, a standard global approach to training through central leadership linked to HPS (Hollister Production System), Talent Management, and compliance. Leading a coordinated approach to document architecture, curricula development and standard work. Responsible for providing outstanding internal customer support, driving HR functional excellence, and overall process improvements.
This role will also be responsible for partnering with external Fit for Growth (FFG) consultants to develop the FFG training strategy and resource requirements, and to oversee the execution of the strategy in support of the programs targeted for go-live. Hollister Incorporated is operating in a hybrid-working environment. Candidates can be located in Libertyville, IL or Stuarts Draft, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the creation of standardized HPS-based training, including Standard Work (SW) methodologies, cross plant in terms of development and delivery, with a focus on training effectiveness and business impact.
- Develop & manage global curricula and training plans, including appropriate training verification with designated SME owners for professional roles in the global technical community. Implement risk-based program for competency assessments.
- Partner with FFG external consultants (Globant) to develop the overall FFG Training Strategy and resource requirements, manage the execution of the strategy, oversee the scheduling and delivery of training across FFG related programs including ensuring training is scheduled, target audience tracked, attendees tracked, providing course descriptions and attendance to Hollister LMS.
- Utilize resources for specific key global projects e.g., FFG Business Transformation support, Standard Work (SW) development and Training Within Industry (TWI) best practice implementation.
- Identify, project manage and implement improvements to the utilization of the Learning Management System (LMS), including the creation of interactive, multimedia training material.
- Ensure the global training system is compliant with ISO standards regarding training design, verification, and documentation. Focus on standardized document architecture in conjunction with Global Quality Management systems.
- Support all major ongoing change projects from a Training and Development perspective.
- Provide guidance to the Global Operations Training Community in terms of joint initiatives, projects, networking, and metric tracking.
- Ensure Global Operations Training Community have standardized position descriptions, roles, and structures to support a standardized approach to learning & development for all levels.
- Apply best practices to our global training systems, using external benchmarking and experience to drive improvements.
- Any other tasks as determined to be applicable to this role.
Essential Functions of the Role
- As outlined above, to lead all Training and Development activities for Global Operations, Global Quality, Regulatory Affairs and R&D
- Building capability for the current and future needs of the organization.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of time.
Requirements:
- 10+ years’ experience in HR / training and development
- Knowledge of the medical device regulatory environment or similar
- Bachelor’s level degree in an appropriate business or technical area required.
- Diploma in Training and Development or equivalent qualification preferred.
