POSITION TITLE: Retail Receiving Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Retail

REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Retail Inventory
SUPERVISES: N/A
JOB SUMMARY:
Receive, maintain, retrieve, inventory and deliver products needed for the day to day operations of the retail stores.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
- Operate Point of Sale system
- Complete required marked out of stock for aged goods, damaged, or out of date thru the POS system
- Count, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments in order to verify information against invoices, orders , bills of lading or other records
- Examine incoming shipments to ensure they meet specifications
- Scan every item following
- Tag all required items with security tags (if applicable)
- Trace and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
- Receive orders into JD Edwards to ensure proper payment and proper inventory records
- Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
- Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
- Responsible for monitoring the returns process
- Responsible for deliveries or pickups of product, including moving products within and outside of store
- Follows all policies and procedures regarding receiving of merchandise, vendor involvement, and invoice processing
- Assists in the execution of all merchandise calendars, campaigns, and sales promotions
- Ensure all pricing, signage, and display is correct at all times
- Process merchandise to floor-ready standards and assist the Sales Associates with the placement of merchandise on the sales floor
- Responsible for controlling inventory stock levels and reordering as necessary within budget
- Maintain good working relationships with vendors
- Determine proper storage methods, identification , and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors and physical capabilities of facilities
- Inspect and help with the upkeep of all retail stock rooms
- Examine and inspect items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisor
- Ensure FIFO methodology as a basis for inventory transfers and storage on a daily basis
- Print requisitions from JD Edwards and accurately pull inventory and deliver to department
- Verify inventory reports computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
- Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse, supply room or other areas
- Clean and maintain storage areas, supplies, tools and equipment to maintain high standards for both cleanliness and safety
- Comply with U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol testing programs established for safety-sensitive positions
- Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions
- Proactive with incidents and issues ensuring resolution with employees
- Communicate to the retail department any and all issues with product
