Position: Quality Control/Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Tustin, CA

Position Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of laboratory data, adherence to quality assurance protocols, and compliance with regulatory procedures. The QCM/QAM evaluates quality metrics and implements corrective actions in collaboration with management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Policy Implementation: Develop and implement lab operation policies, procedures, and standards in conjunction with the OPEX Quality team to ensure lab efficiency, performance, and compliance with federal, state, and company regulations, including EPA, TNI, DOD/ISO 17025, NELAC, ASTM, and NIOSH.
• Data Validation: Review and validate data for compliance, accuracy, and quality. Assemble data validation packages.
• Quality Metrics: Establish and maintain periodic quality metrics reporting.
• Audits: Perform and document laboratory audits, review results, and recommend changes.
• Accreditation Maintenance: Collaborate with the Quality Manager of Accreditations to uphold accreditation programs, including quality assurance plans, SOPs, audit support, and performance testing.
• Process Monitoring: Monitor and document processes and procedural controls.
• Issue Investigation: Investigate and document non-conformance/non-compliance issues and customer complaints, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Regulation Adherence: Ensure turnaround times and deadlines are met while maintaining quality and regulatory adherence.
• Safety Promotion: Promote and ensure safe work practices in collaboration with the ATG Safety team.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a relevant science.
• Minimum of 7+ years of environmental laboratory experience; QA experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of data validation functional guidelines.
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Management (LIM) applications and basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail in quality management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to lead and motivate others.

Pay Range: $67,000 to $85,000, depending on experience
