Job Description

AECOM’s Digital Practice & Technology Group is looking for an Asset Management Technical Lead for our growing Transportation Asset Management business.  Business will focus on transportation infrastructure and buildings. Typical responsibilities involve working with client agencies to create and implement solutions to meet business needs. These solutions typically entail collecting, assembling and analyzing data (including BIM and GIS), implementation of technology and software,  strengthening business processes, and growing the capabilities of the clients’ organization through training and education. Clients’ assets will be managed utilizing asset data, BIM, and GIS.  

The Asset Management Technical Lead will work with Asset Management professionals in our group, as well as have access to AECOM's extensive pool of talent in other disciplines including engineering, BIM, scanning, surveying, and GIS. 

Summary:

  • Build relationships with internal and external clients, regulatory bodies, policy developers, vendors, and contractors
  • Management of project budgets and schedules, as well as the preparation of written reports for clients and senior executives
  • Adapt/respond to changes in client expectations
  • Utilization of data collection technologies and methodologies
  • Documentation of client asset management business processes and capabilities
  • Development of asset inventories and asset management plans
  • Analysis of asset inventories to determine the impact of alternative funding levels on state-of-good-repair backlog, condition, reliability, and operating & maintenance cost
  • Integration of analytical results into client financial plans
  • Report writing and presentation of findings
  • Conduct, document, and communicate consulting assignments or tasks to a high professional standard
  • Contribution to overall engagement profitability and performance
  • Delivery of timely and quality services that meet or exceed team manager’s and client’s expectations
  • Participation in professional organizations relevant to the asset management market
  • Development of capital improvement programs scenarios based on conditions, budget, and priorities of clients.
  • Utilize state DOT transportation asset management plans, and/or transit asset management plans, asset management or state of good repair decision support tools

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field + 4 years of related experience in infrastructure asset management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience in transportation infrastructure asset management (vertical and horizontal infrastructure)
  • Due to nature of work involved, US Citizenship is required 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management skills within infrastructure asset management
  • Familiarity with the management of the entire life cycle—including design, construction, commissioning, operating, maintaining, repairing, modifying, replacing and decommissioning/disposal—of physical and infrastructure assets
  • MS Degree in Engineering, Transportation, Urban Planning, Economics, Finance, Information Technology, Public Policy, Business, or related field
  • Exposure to one or more of the following: asset management, financial analysis, economic analysis, management consulting, business process improvement, information technology consulting, or other relevant area
  • Understanding and insights in the field of asset management within one or more of the following: financial planning, urban transportation planning, transit management and operations, rail management and operations, budget development and cost allocation principles
