JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Director, Food & Beverage (F&B) Concepting, US & Canada role will lead the development and execution of innovative food and beverage concepts across the brand portfolio in the region. This role will be responsible for creating unique and compelling F& B experiences that align with brand standards, drive business propositions and enhance guest satisfaction. The Senior Director will collaborate with cross-discipline teams, including end-to-end experience design, physical design, operations, guest technology, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of F&B concepts into new and existing properties. Additionally, they will define regional partnerships that further elevate the F&B offerings for brands and stay abreast of industry trends and consumer preferences to drive continuous improvement and innovation. This role will also require hands-on development and piloting the concepts and consults in the implementation and management of F&B concepts in the continent. It requires a visionary leader with a strong background in F&B concept development, exceptional creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related major
• Ten or more years’ relevant professional experience across hospitality (lodging, restaurants) or similar industries, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
• Travel up to approximately 20% of the time.
Preferred
• Extensive experience in food and beverage management (restaurants, bars, events), with a focus on concept development, hotel F&B repositioning and/or third party partnerships
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Lead the development of a long-term strategic vision for F&B concepts that align with our brands’ positioning and market trends.
• Develop long-term strategies for F&B innovation and growth.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and customer preferences.
• Manage the testing, scaling and integration of new concepts, ensuring timely and budget-compliant execution.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Continent Lodging Services, Owner Franchise Services and Managed by Marriott to ensure cohesive and successful concept implementation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept through to execution, including new openings and renovations.
• Develop plans for maintaining high standards of quality and consistency across all food and beverage offerings.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and products.
• Develop & deliver compelling business cases for F&B concepting and investments to a broad swath of owners and FMCs.
• Source & manage 3rd party F&B operators in US+CAN for turnkey execution
• Develop and manage budgets, forecast revenue, and control costs to achieve financial targets.
• Analyze customer feedback to continuously improve food and beverage offerings.
The salary range for this position is $141,700 to $215,700 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and restricted stock units/stock grants.
Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
