Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team supporting a Fort Meade, MD customer.

As a ISSO you will provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support organization, system, or enclave IA programs

  • Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce security policies, standards, and methodologies.

  • Establish and maintain operational security posture.

  • Assist with information system security management and day-to-day security operations.

  • Provide CM as needed for security software, hardware, and firmware. Manage system changes and assess security impacts.

  • Prepare and review SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, C&A packages, and SRTMs.

  • Support security authorization activities in compliance with Government standards and the RMF

Basic Qualifications/Capabilities:

  • Five (5) years’ experience as an ISSO, assisting with ISSO work or similar IT field roles on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related discipline from an accredited college or university can be substituted for 3 years of experience.

  • Experience with COMSEC

  • Experience in at least two (2) of the following areas:

  • knowledge of current security tools,

  • Hardware/software security implementation;

  • Communication protocols

  • Encryption techniques/tools.

  • DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level 2 or higher.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Splunk (search and reporting) 

  • Knowing how to build Splunk dashboards is a plus

  • Experience with AWS Docker services and Kubernetes

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • ·      Active TS/SCI Poly

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
