About the role
Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America, Inc.’s Redford, Michigan office is looking for a graduate or undergraduate level student in the eDrive Software department to support ongoing projects. This 3 months internship will focus on tasks that includes implementation, configuration, documentation and proof of concept of technical requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
- Support the bring up and debugging of an evaluation board
- Create a code generator which will parse 1 or more arxml files and generate a C-code for a communication middleware
- Develop test cases and test protocol for all implemented functionalities
- Document configuration and implementation concept
- Ensure updated documentation of activities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate degree in the following fields: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering
- 0-3 years of experience
- Programming knowledge in Python and C
- Basic Understanding of uController architecture
- Basic understanding of the following communication protocol: CAN
- Experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape)
- Good communication skills Analytical thinking skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge about eDrive Software development systems
- Knowledge about Embedded Systems and Software development
