This is an exciting position at OneBeat Dance Brands where no two days are alike.  Events vary from weekend to weekend in size and scope; however, they all include some fundamental areas such as trucking, staging, audio, lighting, etc., just to name a few! 

We're looking for a Production Team Member/On-Site Team Member who has the same passion for dance as we do, along with a sharp sense of organization, planning, and a knack for working with their hands.  Our production department is the essence of OneBeat.  The ideal candidate will have a creative mindset for designing our events and making the best show in the dance competition industry, for all the dancers who grace our stage. This position will include office and warehouse responsibilities, which encompasses the management of our trucking department, lighting, audio, staging, warehouse, etc. As well as, On-Site Team Member, which encompasses being on tour, working with crew members, and clients 

  

Office/Warehouse Job Brief: 

The Production Team Member will work closely with the entire production team on developing and implementing the back-end production for all events. This multifaceted role is responsible for managing the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of all lighting systems, fixtures, and rigging structures, as well as overseeing the setup and safety of staging elements. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a safety-first mindset to ensure seamless and impactful production environments. They should be handy, comfortable using tools, and be able to come up with creative solutions. They should have organizational skills, coupled with an eye for detail as well as a knack for problem-solving. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have the ability to manually move, lift, build, and repair production equipment on a regular basis as the production team is responsible for successful events.  

Responsibilities of the office/warehouse position include: 

  • Ensure all lighting systems are properly configured and tested before events. 
  • Maintain and manage inventory of lighting equipment, cables, microphones, and accessories. 
  • Keep detailed documentation of setups, signal flows, and equipment usage for future reference. 
  • Assist in budget planning and tracking for lighting need. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in lighting technology and best practices. 
  • Manage and serve as the main point of contact for the on-the-road lighting personnel. 
  • Train and mentor, all lighting personnel on tour-specific systems, workflows, procedures. 
  • Provide ongoing technical training and support to ensure consistent lighting quality and crew competence. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a quick, timely manner. 
  • Oversee transport, inventory, and care of touring lighting gear, ensuring all equipment is road-ready and secure. 
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement them to completion. 
  • Oversee the preparation, maintenance, and safe transport of all staging and rigging equipment for the tour. 
  • Conduct regular inspections of truss, motors, hoists, staging platforms, hardware, and safety gear to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards. 
  • Maintain a detailed inventory of all rigging and staging gear, including tracking usage, condition, repairs, and replacements. 
  • Coordinate with the production managers and venue staff to share rigging plots
