Position Overview

 

This position is responsible for the management and oversight of the northern Illinois area of the Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) Audit Services Unit whose core objective is to perform timely standardized audits of local public agencies (LPAs) receiving MFT funds for proper compliance with state laws, rules, policies, and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Manages development and execution of a roadmap for the Power Platform adoption, aligning it with business goals and objectives.
• Leads and mentors a team of Power Platform developers and support technicians, providing guidance on best practices, ensuring effective collaboration, and fostering a culture of innovation.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to help design scalable Power Platform solutions considering both current and future business needs.
• Establishes and enforces governance policies, ensuring compliance with IDOT’s security and privacy regulations within Power Platform implementations.
• Collaborates and works closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, communicate the value of Power Platform solutions, and ensure alignment with IDOT’s goals.
• Develops training programs for end-users and Power Platform team members to enhance their proficiency in Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power Pages.
• Implements monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track the performance and usage of Power Platform solutions, making data-driven decisions to optimize efficiency.
• Collaborates with Enterprise Program Management Office to evaluate and integrate additional Power Platform tools and services procured through third-party vendors as needed.
• Performs duties in compliance with departmental safety rules. Performs all duties in a manner conducive to the fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completion of a bachelor’s degree majoring in information technology, computer science, management information systems, business management, or an engineering discipline PLUS three years of experience working in the Information Technology industry utilizing Power Platform or similar analytical tools such as Azure Analytical Services, Excel with Power Query and Data Model, Tableau, Zoho Analytics, Sigma, etc., or a combination thereof OR Completion of 11 years of experience in the Information Technology industry utilizing Power Platform or similar analytical tools such as Azure Analytical Services, Excel with Power Query and Data Model, Tableau, Zoho Analytics, Sigma, etc., or a combination thereof.
