The Dietary Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day nutrition of meals for the hospital population including visitors and guests. This includes the provision of special diets, restrictions and meals prescribed by the dietitian or therapists. Qualifications / Job Requirements:
Education / Skills Required:
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be able to exercise sound judgement.
• Ability to relate to peers and supervisors in a friendly and respectful manner.
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and written.
• Experience in food service and quantity cooking.
• Working knowledge of safe food handling practices.
• Ability to complete records and reports.
• Graduate of high school or equivalent.
