The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for conducting sales activities with both potential and existing customers through face-to-face and phone interactions. This person offers the best possible customer experience, as well as hands-on explanations of any Super-Sod products.
Essential Functions

- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate Company goals.
- Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly. Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rates.
- Directs staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program.
- Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas and goals.
- Advises dealers, distributors and clients concerning sales and advertising techniques.
- Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line.
- Represents company at trade shows to promote new and existing products, requiring the ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
- Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
- Coordinates liaison between retail sales department and other sales-related units.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
- Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
- Effectively manages sales budget for the region.
- Performs any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position required personal time management and scheduling.
Work Environment
This is a remote location position but may require visits to the local or home offices frequently. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.
