Responsibilities
We are hiting a Chief Engineer with Data Center experience for a mission-critical facility in Herndon, VA. This position does not require a license, but Liebert certification is a plus. This is an on-call position.
Day shift, Monday-Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm
Major Duties:
- Complete and submit a daily report on activities
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections of systems and associated equipment
- Perform tours and logs
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to Data Center CRAC units, Self contained roof top units and mini split systems
- Ability to write detailed incident reports
- Schedule and oversee numerous subcontractor areas such as janitorial services, electrical maintenance, UPS maintenance, above/below data center floor cleaning, pest control, emergency generators, water/recycle removal
- Generate and submit IDIQ proposals for reimbursement
- Respond to after hour emergency calls
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- 7 + years experience
- Liebert certification preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs on CRACs and RTU's
- Strong record-keeping ability
- Ability to write MOPS and SOPS
- Must be available for on-call duty
