Senior Software QA Engineer/Team Lead - Financial Services

<p>We seek to employ a dynamic, results - oriented and passionate <strong>Senior</strong> <strong>Software QA Engineer</strong>, with experience in payments and/or banking industry, to join the Athens QA Team. </p><p>The successful candidate will be part of a multinational team, reporting directly to the Head of the QA Department.</p><p></p><p><em><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></em></p><ul> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and ensure successful software installation and system configuration.</li> <li>Analyze technical problems and implement configuration changes and effective solutions to optimize software performance and stability.</li> <li>Conduct end-to-end testing of electronic payment transactions, including authorization and clearing phases, to validate system integrity and reliability.</li> <li>Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and support to execute testing activities effectively.</li> <li>Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.</li> <li>Provide regular updates to QA Managers, highlighting any challenges or resource constraints that could affect the on-time delivery of the service.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><em><strong>General Requirements:</strong></em></p><ul> <li>University Degree in Computer Science or a related academic field.</li> <li>Desirable minimum four (4) years of experience in Software testing or Software configuration.</li> <li>Experience in payment card business (issuing or acquiring) is a plus.</li> <li>Experience in international card schemes’ (MasterCard, Visa etc.) specifications.</li> <li>Hands on experience in any database system (MySQL, MariaDB, DB2, Oracle, MSSQL).</li> <li>Good knowledge of software QA methodologies and tools.</li> <li>Fluency in English and Greek, both verbal and written.</li> <li>Eligible to work in the EU on full-time permanent basis without the need of employer sponsorship.</li> </ul><p></p><p><em><strong>Competencies:</strong></em></p><ul> <li>Self-driven, self-motivated, highly interested in learning and adopting to changing environments.</li> <li>Proactive skills in anticipating problems and potential solutions.</li> <li>Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.</li> <li>Team player and positive thinker.</li> <li>Strong planning and time management skills.</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul> <li>Work in dynamic, stable, international environment.</li> <li>Excellent career prospects within a dynamic and multinational organization with leading position in the market and ambitious expansion plans.</li> </ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>#LI-ET1<br/>#hybrid</p>
