This position will work out of our Central Territory; Houston and/or Dallas region in the SH division.

As the Senior Therapy Development Specialist, you'll have the chance to work closely within the clinical study team including the medical director, program and project management, and other clinical study personnel as well as the commercial team. This position will have significant interaction with investigators, research coordinators, physician assistants, and nurses. This position will be required to execute their job responsibilities within the corporate policies and standard operating procedures.
What You’ll Work On
The Therapy Development Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key physicians and site-specific stakeholders to achieve clinical trial enrollment objectives. This individual will be streamlining the patient screening process at participating sites, conducting referral and educational activities to support therapy development.
- Support and Implementation: Focuses more on supporting and implementing strategies rather than defining them. They assist in driving enrollment and therapy development activities.
- Communication and Relationships: Responsible for maintaining regular communication and building relationships, but with a slightly narrower scope compared to Grade 17. They may engage more with operational staff rather than senior stakeholders.
- Experience and Training: Requires significant experience but typically less than Grade 17. The emphasis is on field-based roles within the medical device industry, with a preference for those with both sales and clinical research experience.
- Guidance and Support: Works under the guidance of higher-level specialists or managers. They are expected to follow established protocols and support the execution of strategies.
- Operational Focus: More focused on day-to-day operational tasks, such as facilitating patient screening, tracking enrollment progress, and organizing awareness activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
- Degree in the sciences, medicine, or similar discipline highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5+years of related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Significant experience in a field-based role in the medical device industry. Experience with both sales and clinical research (particularly field clinical affairs) is a significant plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and/or facilitate educational programs to healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with cath lab procedures and protocol.
