General Maintenance Tech (second shift)

We’re seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support daily operations across our university campus. In this role, you’ll help maintain a safe, clean, and functional environment by performing light mechanical repairs, general upkeep, and routine maintenance tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their workday and takes pride in keeping facilities running smoothly.
Pay: 24.00-29.00 per hour
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
Shift: typical shift is 2pm-10:30 pm (Mon-Fri) with rotating on-call schedule

Technical Maintenance
- Perform basic to intermediate plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and grounds repairs per client guidelines
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance tasks as directed
- Conduct building inspections; report recurring facility issues
- Document completed work adhering to client guidelines
Workspace Support
- Configure event spaces per client specifications
- Reset collaborative areas daily
- Perform minor furniture and workplace repairs
Operational Compliance
- Coordinate task priorities through client dispatch protocols
- Maintain tool/material inventory using vendor-approved systems
- Follow safety regulations and PPE requirements
Systems Reporting
- Submit repair recommendations through designated channels
- Flag equipment degradation patterns for playbook updates
- Provide automated status updates via client platform
- Complete other duties as assigned
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma, GED or suitable equivalent is required
- Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license
- 3 plus years of relevant facilities maintenance or technical support experience in a commercial and/or residential setting
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency with standard maintenance equipment such as power tools, multimeters and plumbing snakes
- Familiarity with building management systems and maintenance tracking platforms
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive problem-solving approach with attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs
