The Medical Biller will ensure proper and efficient billing to all Major Medical payers for Home Infusion and Specialty product lines. The biller will also ensure the accuracy of their work and ensures that performance goals are met. They will also assist with problem solving issues with high dollar AR accounts and adhere to regulatory and payer guidelines for billing. Interfaces with a variety of internal and external customers to ensure the best patient experience in the most efficient manner. Ensures that all HIPAA, policies/procedures, and compliance requirements are met within the role.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Training

High School Diploma or equivalent from accredited school required.
Must be Bilingual in Spanish/English
Minimum 1-year relevant experience required.
Previous pharmacy, home infusion, and specialty pharmacy drug billing preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize workload.
Must be extremely detail oriented.

Essential Job Duties

Submit timely, accurate invoices to payer for products and services provided.
Correctly determine quantities and prices for nursing services.
Verify that the services and products are correctly authorized, and that required documentation is on file prior to billing.
Ensure invoices are submitted for services and products that are properly ordered and confirmed as provided.
Ensure all required documentation for billing is completed and accurate prior to claim submission.
Adhere to Regulatory/Payor Guidelines and policies/procedures.
