The Mechanical Engineer Intern will assist with designing, testing, and building datacom products, support product specifications and root cause analysis, and help develop test plans and fixtures. Candidates should be at least a junior in Mechanical Engineering, skilled in Microsoft Office, and familiar with engineering tools, teamwork, and problem-solving.
What You Will Do:
- Support development of product specifications.
- Support design/development of datacom/infrastructure products.
- Support fabrication/buildup of experimental datacom/infrastructure products.
- Develop and support execution of test plans and fixtures as necessary.
- Support development of test fixtures.
- Support execution of root cause analysis for Field Returns.
What You Will Bring:
- At least a junior in a 4-year degree program, pursuing B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with Microsoft office products, including Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Good communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Drive to be creative and innovative.
- Be a team player and have a strong desire to contribute and learn.
- Familiarity with engineering tools/Principles, such as:
- 3D Modeling Software
- General Understanding of strength of materials
- Understanding of stress and strain along with ability to hand calculate approximate loads
- Ability to multitask, problem solve, prioritize, and exercise critical thinking skills.

Pay rates for this role start at $19/hr.
