Field will fund, build and run the renewable infrastructure we need to tackle these challenges. At Field, we will show that batteries are a totally viable part of our energy infrastructure - now, not in some distant future. <br/>With a strong financial foundation and an <strong>extensive portfolio of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Germany, the UK, Italy, and Spain</strong>, we are actively driving the energy transition. Our most recent fundraising secured a £200 million investment from CVC DIF to accelerate our international growth and build a global BESS portfolio.<br/>In <strong>Germany</strong>, we are expanding rapidly: Our first battery storage project of approximately 32 MWh is currently in construction phase, with others to follow soon. <strong>Our goal is to establish a multi-GW pipeline</strong> of operational assets by 2030, strengthening the stability and flexibility of the <strong>German power grid.<br/><br/><br/>Your Mission </strong> You will become part of a growing team with the opportunity to make a significant impact on the energy transition. Your work will directly contribute to the development of a sustainable energy system – with a high degree of responsibility, opportunities for growth, and room for shaping the future.<br/><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul> <li>Independently manage battery energy storage projects (BESS) from site acquisition through to ready-to-build status.</li> <li>Take responsibility for complex BESS projects and drive them to success—technically, commercially, and strategically.</li> <li>Shape our key projects such as detailed programmes and risk registers to keep delivery on track and risks under control.</li> <li>Steer our BESS projects with strategic foresight and actively shape the energy transition.</li> </ul><br/>Our team brings together experts with experience in billion-dollar tech startups, building energy companies, and deep expertise in energy markets. We are a dynamic, curious, and entrepreneurial team determined to make battery storage a core pillar of the energy transition—not at some distant point in the future, but right now. Our long-term ambition is to become a leading clean energy player in Germany and Europe in the coming years, expanding our portfolio beyond battery storage.<br/><h3>Skills, Knowledge and Expertise</h3><strong>Your Tasks</strong><br/>This is a broad and varied role with the opportunity to have massive impact. Key responsibilities including<ul> <li> <strong> Project Development &amp; Management</strong><ul> <li>Identifying and evaluating potential sites for BESS projects ( e.g. grid analysis, site constraint analysis, legal framework &amp; permissibility)</li> <li>Coordinating permitting procedures (e.g. environmental approvals, building permits, preliminary building requests, B-Plan procedures)<br/><br/> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <strong>Stakeholder Management</strong><ul> <li>Liaising with landowners, municipalities and authorities</li> <li>Presenting projects to investors, partners, and decision-makers</li> <li>Collaborating with internal teams (e.g. engineering, legal, finance)<br/><br/> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <strong>  Documentation &amp; Reporting</strong><ul> <li>Maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring audit-readiness</li> <li>Preparing internal memos and project updates for senior management</li> <li>Building and maintaining detailed project programmes to ensure on-time delivery</li> <li>Creating and managing project risk registers to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks</li> <li>Supporting due diligence processes for external stakeholders and financiers<br/><br/> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <strong> Contract Management</strong><ul><li>Preparing and reviewing contracts (lease agreements, cooperation contracts)</li></ul> </li> </ul> <br/><strong>The skills you’ll need </strong> <ul> <li>Demonstrated experience in project development through the entire lifecycle of a project (ideally in renewables or storage)</li> <li>Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and markets in Germany</li> <li>Independent and structured working style with high attention to detail</li> <li>Excellent communication skills in German and English</li> <li>Able to collaborate across disciplines and with multi-cultural, international teams</li> <li>Familiarity with construction permits, environmental impact assessments and the commissioning of required studies</li> </ul><br/><h3>Benefits</h3><strong>Package Details</strong><br/>We’re offering a competitive compensation package, including participation in our employee share scheme which rewards all employees for the growth of the business.
