The Hospital Development Executive (HDE) is responsible for selling Labcorp testing and related services into hospital reference laboratories in the Upstate New York Territory for the Northeast Division. The HDE will be charged with developing hospital reference laboratories and relationships, within IDNs and healthcare integrated systems.
The territory for this position will cover Upstate NY. It will require mostly day travel with the potential for limited overnight travel depending on your location within the territory.
We are seeking a highly competitive and collaborative performer with strong communication skills and a high degree of business acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new relationships with the leaders inside of the hospital administration responsible for hospital reference operations
Target new hospital reference laboratory opportunities for Labcorp
Win new hospital reference business opportunities
Develop relevant business plans with clearly defined strategies and objectives to deliver year-over-year revenue growth
Direct ownership for onboarding new hospital reference laboratory business
Responsible for new customer implementation plans from start to finish inside a matrixed organization
Work with Labcorp division and corporate HHS leadership to expand services beyond clinical reference testing. (i.e., Drug Development, Integrated Oncology, Strategic Deals, etc.)
Ability to communicate Labcorp’s health system value proposition to our clients
Qualifications and Requirements:
BA/BS education is highly preferred; MBA preferred
At minimum of 3 years of experience of direct sales in the medical industry, ideally into hospitals strongly preferred
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong project planning and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Preferred experience working with large health systems central contracting process
Experience managing complex sales, selling into C-Suite
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills and sales tools and software
Ability to manage being out in the field with prospects/ clients as well as administrative tasks.
Pay Range: $110,000-$130,000 annual base salary and eligible for the sales incentive plan.
