Additional information can be found at: www.chubb.com .</p><p>In the Nordics we are an organization of 140 employees.</p><p><span><strong>Role purpose: </strong></span></p><p><span>The purpose of this role, based in Stockholm, is to work closely with the Casualty Line Manager Nordics and the Country Manager Sweden to maintain and develop the Casualty business in the Nordic Countries. The position holder will :</span></p><ul><li><span>set, implement and achieve underwriting profit goals in accordance with business plan and with ability to work with in various market segments (SME, MM and MA) and with experience from managing major accounts.</span></li><li><span>ensure underwriting integrity through appropriate deployment of underwriting guidelines and controls, consistency of approach towards risk selection, pricing, and the correct use of capacity whilst recognizing market conditions.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>Main responsibilities include, but are not restricted to: </strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Underwrite new business and renewals according to defined underwriting guidelines, specified budget and local business plan.</span></li><li><span>In coordination with the Casualty Manager Nordics and Country Manager Sweden, define and build an underwriting strategy, forecast and portfolio management in order to achieve underwriting profitability.</span></li><li><span>Quality control within defined area of responsibility by undertaking quantitative underwriting review to develop best performers segments.</span></li><li><span>Participate in development of products within Casualty in order to improve client retention and new business.</span></li><li><span>Collaboration with the Casualty Manager Nordics and across business lines (</span><span>Claims, Operations, Finance, etc.).</span></li><li><span>Represent and promote Chubb to brokers increasing Chubb market visibility with special focus on assigned segments.</span></li><li><span>Pipeline Management.</span></li><li><span>Comply with all policies, controls, authorities and reporting requirements.</span></li><li><span>To work within the framework of Chubb ethical and service standards.</span></li></ul> <p><span><strong><u>Qualifications:</u></strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Bachelor Degree in Law, Business Administration, Economist or similar would be a plus.</span></li><li><span>Minimum 5+ years of experience from relevant market work i e underwriting, broking or risk engineering. </span></li><li><span>Experience from working in a multinational environment would be preferable. </span></li><li><span>Knowledge of Nordic insurance market. </span></li><li><span>Excellent communication and commercial skills. </span></li><li><span>Can-Do” attitude</span></li><li><span>Team worker. </span></li><li><span>Client orientated and </span><span>business focused.</span><span> </span></li><li><span>Ability to negotiate and get profitable business in accordance with company UW guidelines.</span></li><li><span>Understanding on how individual underwriting decisions impact on business results</span></li><li><span>Advance user of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook</span></li><li><span>Danish/ Swedish/ Norwegian and English high level – both written and spoken. </span></li></ul>
