Our Autonomy Visualization and Mission Planning section is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our team. This is an onsite position for Fort Wayne, IN, McKinney, TX, or El Segundo, CA.

What you will do:
Participation on collaborative, cross-disciplined integrated product teams, employing agile software development techniques and resources to plan, design, develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
Responsible for contributing as a software team member and mentoring other engineers.
Responsibilities span the full lifecycle of product development, from architecture and design, through integration, flight test, and field support.
Build reusable and custom user interfaces that provide an intuitive and modern experience with intentional design for adaptability and reuse.
Must be willing to travel occasionally to support system integration and test, customer events, and related external activities.
Have the ability to work on site regularly for lab integration and team collaboration
Qualifications you must have:
Typically requires 2+ years of work-related experience with Software Engineering
Web application development experience using Angular, Java.
Experience developing on Linux or equivalent OS.
Experience participating on an Agile software team.
Demonstrated ability to work well with other team members, teammates, and disciplines.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualification we prefer
Active/Current US security clearance.
Experience with any of the phases of software development such as design, implementation, testing, and system integration.
Experience with any of the following: Python, Git, Visual Studio Code, Jira, Gitlab, Docker, Kubernetes, Boost, GCC compilers, HTML5, or Podman.
Knowledge of user interface (UI) design concepts.
Knowledge of modeling and simulation frameworks.
Knowledge of open architecture concepts.
Master of Science degree (M.S.) in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics or related field.
