Description
The Division of Neonatology, Department of Pediatrics at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt (MCJCHV) seeks a BE/BC Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Medicine pediatrician to serve at one or more of our community-based nurseries. The Neonatology Division is currently comprised of neonatologists, pediatricians, and NNPs who staff a variety of services including Community Based NICUs and Newborn Nurseries. We have nurseries all over middle Tennessee including Cookeville Regional Medical Center, Sumner Regional Medical Center, Tennova Clarksville, Vanderbilt Wilson County, and Williamson Medical Center.

The Children’s Hospital currently has 363 inpatient beds after the recent completion of two additional floors, making it the largest pediatric hospital in Tennessee.

Qualifications
Qualified applicants must have a medical doctorate in Clinical Pediatrics from an accredited program and hold or be eligible for licensure in the State of Tennessee. Applicants with a clinical focus on Hospital Medicine with special interest and training in delivery room and newborn care will be considered. Competency in circumcisions will be necessary. The preferred candidate will demonstrate a track record of excellence in clinical care, graduate medical education or research and possess outstanding leadership skills.
Academic rank, track, and compensation will be dependent upon qualifications. VUMC offers a generous benefits package to its faculty. The start date is negotiable, and the positions will remain open until filled.
