About the role
Job Summary:
- Perform data analysis and reporting on outcome attainment, process management, financial and operational analysis
- Data emphasis will be related, but not limited to, business development, customer retention opportunities and/or, department-specific and cross-functional analytics
- Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations
- Vet, Compile and Synthesize data from disparate sources and systems, using a variety of extraction methods, to analyze source data for quality and accuracy, and to create regular and ad-hoc reports as well as customer metrics and storyboards for end users
- May participate in data work groups
- Collaborate with application developers to understand how various applications work and their impact and use to Strategic Accounts and the broader enterprise
- Partner on cross-functional projects with colleagues in IT, Finance, Operations, Customer care and other departments within the Estes enterprise to optimize reporting solution architecture and data utilization
- Maintain awareness of emerging analytic technologies through periodic continuing education and conference attendance
- Act as a representative and advocate for Strategic Accounts at the companywide data panel meetings
- Responsible for the implementation and maintenance of BI dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) for strategic accounts
- Maintain and as needed make upgrades to the various costing, volume and performance data warehouses that support department and enterprise wide reporting initiatives
- Contribute expertise during the design and implementation of new processes and technologies
- Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (business, math, economics, finance, statistics, science, engineering, computer science) or any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background. MBA with a supply chain/IT focus is preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including visualization skills (i.e., able to “tell the story” and highlight key insights in a clear and concise manner that is easily understood by stakeholders)
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Access and SQL
- Conceptual thinking skills complemented by a strong quantitative orientation. Identify opportunities for improvement and use data to make strategic and tactical recommendations
- Must have strong understanding of SQL and other data extraction methodologies
- Proficient in AS400 and other Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Excel and Power BI)
- Ability to convert raw data into actionable intel
- Ability to determine the interrelationships between solutions and requirements
- Should be able to communicate and market data administration concepts to management, staff, and clients
- Logistics and/or Supply Chain experience is preferred
- Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job
- Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
- Must be able to interact well with others
- Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting
- Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities
- Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
