What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer with deep experience in IaC and Azure platform services to help us modernize and operationalize our hybrid cloud environment. You will lead the standardization of Azure infrastructure provisioning using Bicep, maintain and improve core network/security architecture (including hub-and-spoke topology, WAF, and private endpoints), and provide Tier 2/3 support for mission-critical services.
This is a hands-on engineering role embedded within the Enterprise Architecture team. You will work closely with cloud architects, DevOps engineers, application owners, and cybersecurity teams to ensure that Azure infrastructure is stable, scalable, and audit-ready.
Engineering & Platform Operations
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for Azure infrastructure components in production and non-production environments.
- Deploy and maintain services such as Azure AVD, App Services, DevBox, Virtual Machines, ExpressRoute, and Storage Accounts.
- Operate and enhance a hub-and-spoke network model, including NSGs, Private Endpoints, Route Servers, and ExpressRoute Gateways.
- Support change control, patching, and root cause analysis for cloud infrastructure incidents.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation
- Lead development and enforcement of IaC using Bicep, ensuring repeatable, consistent deployments.
- Implement pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for infrastructure CI/CD.
- Maintain environment parity and source-of-truth through version-controlled infrastructure repositories.
Governance & Reliability
- Apply the Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework to improve platform security, performance, cost optimization, and operations.
- Contribute to BCDR strategy, platform documentation, and architectural reviews.
- Define and maintain compliance guardrails through Azure Policy, tagging standards, and monitoring baselines.
Modernization & Migration
- Assist in the migration and replatforming of legacy systems to Azure-native services.
- Support Azure-native data services like Synapse, Event Hub, Kafka, and Azure Fabric.
- Contribute to the delivery of containerized workloads via Azure Container Instances (ACI) or App Services for Containers.
What Do You Need?
- Strong sense of infrastructure ownership and technical accountability.
- Effective communicator across architecture, DevOps, app development, and compliance.
- Self-driven with a methodical approach to documentation and automation.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, changing environments with evolving cloud priorities.
Technology Skills:
- 5+ years managing and supporting Azure IaaS and PaaS environments.
- Hands-on experience with Bicep or ARM templates for IaC delivery.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking and security design (NSGs, ExpressRoute, Private Link).
- Proficiency with PowerShell and Azure CLI scripting.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git workflows in infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for observability.
