Job Description
Mission Technologies a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Mobility Air Forces Distributed Mission Operations (MAF DMO) in Orlando, FL. The selected candidate will assist with designs and develops system architectures and defines key capabilities and performance requirements. Defines total systems design and technology maturity constraints in accordance with mission requirements. Develops system element architecture and design and interface definitions. Defines system implementation approach and operational concept. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Develops drawings of mechanical design, assemblies, and installation procedures on AutoCAD and Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE). Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical support.
- Assists with technical solution production for MAF DMO standards development, verifying interoperability of simulators and equipment on the network.
- Participate in software requirements development.
- Responsible for using CAD and MBSE software to generate requirements, technical diagrams of hardware and network infrastructure configurations for equipment located across multiple Air Force sites.
- Supports Systems Engineering, Network Administration, Systems Administration, Software Developers, and Logistics personnel in the generation of diagrams necessary for multiple CDRL deliveries.
- Works with other technical writers and configuration/data management to provide quality control measures to documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- Familiar with the Shore Installation Process Handbook (SIPH), ASME Y14.100, ASME Y14.5M-1994, ASME Y14.41-2003, MIL-DTL-31000, etc.
- Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineer (MBSE).
- Prior software/hardware testing, analysis, and troubleshooting experience.
- Must be a US citizen and hold a current or active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
