About the role

JOB PURPOSE:

The Administrative & Data Research Specialist plays a critical dual role in supporting the Business Development department. This position is responsible for managing all reporting and data analysis functions, providing valuable insights to drive business decisions. Additionally, this role will support the Business Development with administrative duties, ensuring seamless department operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Analysis & Reporting (Primary Focus)

  • Develop, maintain, and manage reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Business Development team.
  • Collect, clean, and analyze data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Generate actionable insights through data interpretation, trend analysis, and forecasting.
  • Assist in the development of business development strategies by providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and reporting needs from the Senior Vice President and department leadership.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Research, compile, and interpret data for marketing analysis.

Administrative Support

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Senior Vice President and Business Development team including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and other documents for internal and external meetings.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of business development initiatives, events, materials, and special projects.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business development and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support department operations.

Schedule: 8:30AM – 5:30PM

Weekly Hours: 40

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education: preferred bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
  • Prior experience as an executive assistant or in an administrative role is highly desirable.
  • Experience in healthcare, business development, or a related industry is a plus.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience utilizing CRM or other database platforms/tools preferred. Preferred experience with Care Compass.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook required; Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • Knowledge of PACE program benefits a plus.
  • Highly organized and flexible to meet submission deadlines.
  • Experience in working independently without significant oversight and or direction from a supervisor.

Additional Requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of federal and state regulatory requirements with respect to health care eligibility, coverage, and services of various public programs a plus.
  • Familiarity with healthcare organizations and general population dynamics within the greater New York Metropolitan region a plus.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the greater NYC metropolitan region (30% of the time- mostly between sites).
  • In person position - not a hybrid role.
  • Positive attitude and outlook with the ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment.
  • Works inside at office locations and outside in varied weather conditions in all areas of the community.
  • Hold an active driver’s license and car.
  • Nights and weekends may apply.
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time and ascend/descend stairs.

Physical Requirements

Individuals must be able to sustain specific physical requirements essential to the job. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Standing - duration of up to 8 hours per day in the field/community
  • Sitting/Stationary positions – sedentary for 6-8 hours a day for consecutive hours/periods.
  • Lifting/Push/Pull – up to 50 pounds of equipment, baggage, supplies, and other items used in the job scope using OSHA guidelines, etc.
  • Bending/Squatting – must to be able to safely bend or squat to perform the essential functions under the scope of the job.
  • Stairs/Steps/Walking/Climbing – must be able to maneuver stairs safely, climb up/down and walk to access work areas. The position requires an individual to be able to travel and walk between sites/locations and work areas throughout the day.<
