General Maintenance Technician II

 
About the Role:  

The Nu Skin Line Maintenance Team, is looking for a technician who has a strong technical aptitude. As a Line Maintenance Technician, you will be expected to conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment faults. You will gain additional experience using various trade tools, while improving work conditions at the Provo Distribution Center. As part of the Line Maintenance Team at the Provo DC, you will have unique challenges as the team is responsible for maintaining a variety of production, order fulfillment and material handling equipment. We are looking for someone who has the ability to work well under pressure and who has a high level of problem solving skills. As part of the Line Maintenance Team, it will be your responsibility to help us maintain critical pieces of equipment that are used throughout the DC for production, order fulfillment, receiving and shipping operations. The individual selected to fill this position, will report to the Line Maintenance Manager. 

What you'll do: 

• Clean, lubricate, service and repair a wide variety of equipment. 

• Troubleshoot/repair various issues with production, order fulfilment, material handling equipment and building systems. 

• Install, modify, and maintain various equipment parts or building system components. 

• Respond to assigned work requests and assist other technicians with larger projects. 

• Respond to urgent production, order fulfilment, material handling and building system equipment needs as they arise. 

• Learn to use or improve useage of our computerized maintenance management sytem to track work. 

What you'll need: 

• A strong technical aptitude 

• Ability to diagnose equipment maintenance issues. 

• Ability/knowledge of how to use various trade tools for troubleshooting and repairing equipment. 

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. 

• Able to maintain a high level of personal integrity and reliability. 

• A willingness to embrace new methodologies, while working in a strong team environment. 

• Be willling to participate and contribute to building the team through ongoing training. 

Bonus points for:  

• Ability to identify common production, order fulfilment or material handling equipment parts for use in repair of equipment. 

• Abiltity to demonstrate or describe how to safely work with electrical circuits. 

• Has taken some type of technical training or schooling to develope skillsets used for maintaining equipment. 

• Has knowledge of how to respond to issues with a facility fire system. 

• Has knowledge of how to use blue prints and/or schematics for laying out equipment or for troubleshooting purposes. 

• Ability to safely operate fork lifts, scissor lifts or other man lifts for use in handling of equipment or for working at elevated heights. 

• Can operate a building management system, for responding to building system
